Dr. Graff-Radford’s research interests include the study of neuropathic facial pain and headache. He has written more than 100 articles, book chapters and scientific abstracts, and he lectures nationally and internationally on the subject of head and neck pain management.
Dr. Graff-Radford has served as president of the Western USA Pain Society and president of the American Board of Orofacial Pain. In addition, he is a past board member of the American Headache Society. He has served on the headache guidelines committee of the Agency for Health Care Policy and Research, and currently serves on the board of and the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association and the American Academy of Orofacial Pain.
Dr. Graff-Radford received his dental degree from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa. He completed a two-year pain management fellowship at the UCLA Department of Anesthesiology. Following his fellowship, he served as an assistant professor of Anesthesiology and director of education at the UCLA Pain Management Center.
